Our focus this year will be “A Father’s Love”. We see a variety of “family types” come through our doors each week. We know that in our culture and in a fallen world, God’s blueprints have been replaced with a variety of ideas that have had troubling results.
We have now entered the third generational cycle of broken homes in our culture. In addition to sharing God’s plan for families, we offer hope to our clients through Bible Studies and evangelistic measures that illustrate His love, forgiveness and restoration.
We are honored to be in a position that allows us to show the love of our Heavenly Father through support, material assistance and discipleship. Will you partner with us this year as we highlight that importance of fatherly love in the home but also our Father’s love to all?

Ken Bevel is a native of Jacksonville, Florida and has been a member of Sherwood Baptist Church since February 2007. After 20 years of active service in the United States Marine Corps, Ken retired to serve in the ministry. He currently assumes the role as the Pastor of Connections and Local Missions at Sherwood Baptist Church in Albany, GA. In addition to his daily responsibilities, Ken may be recognized by his role as Lieutenant Michael Simmons in the 2008 inspirational movie “Fireproof” and for his role as Nathan Hayes in the 2011 movie “Courageous.” Ken is a graduate of the University of Memphis with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering Technology and a graduate of the Naval Postgraduate School with a Master of Business Administration degree in Logistics Management. Ken and Lauana have been happily married for 26 years and two children, Kyra and Kaleb.
